Sihanoukville Province
Sihanoukville is a province in southwest Cambodia known for its beaches, tropical islands and the mangrove jungles of Ream National Park. Set around a deep-water port on a peninsula jutting into the Gulf of Thailand, the provincial capital of Sihanoukville has palm-fringed beaches, seafood restaurants and late-night bars. Overlooking the capital is the hilltop Buddhist temple of Wat Leu.
Kampot Province
Kampot is a province in southwest Cambodia, edging onto the Gulf of Thailand. In the west, the jungle of Preah Monivong (aka Bokor) National Park in the misty Elephant Mountains is home to Bokor Hill Station, a 1920s French ghost town. On the banks of the Teuk Chhou River, the province's sleepy capital, Kampot, is known for its French colonial architecture.
